Oggi è una triste giornata per il motociclismo. L’Italia ha perso una delle persone più lungimiranti del nostro ambiente. Con le sue analisi era sempre in anticipo sui tempi e il suo giudizio era sempre imparziale.

La nostra amicizia risaliva al 1987 : abbiamo vissuto insieme tutte le trasformazioni del motociclismo di questi ultimi 25 anni. Per me Claudio era un punto di riferimento: spesso, dopo le nostre chiacchierate al telefono, i suoi consigli mi hanno aiutato a prendere delle decisioni importanti.

Dopo Alberto Fantini, Luciano Bindini e Claudio Porozzi il motociclismo italiano e il Superbike in particolare sono “orfani” di tre persone che - nelle loro diverse specialità -hanno sempre dato il loro meglio per il bene del nostro sport e sono stati dei grandi protagonisti dietro le quinte di quello che è oggi il mondiale Superbike.

Faccio le mie più sentite condoglianze alla famiglia di Claudio ed in particolare a suo fratello Fabrizio.

Ciao Claudio! 

Today is a very sad day for motorcycling. Italy lost one of the most forward-looking persons in our sport. His analyses were always an anticipation of the times and his judgment was always impartial.

Our friendship dates back to 1987 : we experienced together all the evolutions of motorcycling of the latest 25 years. Claudio’s advices were precious  to me : after our long  conversations on the phone, his suggestions helped me to take some very important decisions.

After Alberto Fantini, Luciano Bindini and Claudio Porozzi Italian motorcycling - and Superbike in particular are now “orphans” of three persons who – with their work – have always given their best for the sake of our sports and had a crucial role behind the scenes of what the World Superbike is today.

I offer my sincere condolences to Claudio’s family and  in particular to his brother Fabrizio.
