Misano , June 18th 2009. My wife and I are walking into the beautiful beachfront hotel a few miles from the race circuit which will be not only our home for the next few days but also the Suzuki Alstare team and rider's home too.

Team Suzuki Alstare Brux rider Claudio Corti made a mockery of his lowly grid position and finished a superb second in today’s fifth round of the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup at Donington. Claudio started from the sixth row of the grid, but rocketed off the line when the lights turned to green and was in an unbelievable ninth at the end of the opening lap.

The ninth round of this year’s Superbike World Championship will not be remembered fondly by team Suzuki Alstare Brux riders Yukio Kagayama and Blake Young.

Final qualifying and Superpole ended in disappointment for Team Suzuki Alstare Brux riders Yukio Kagayama at Donington Park this afternoon.

Team Suzuki Alstare Brux rider Claudio Corti suffered a tyre choice mistake and will start from the sixth row of the grid in tomorrow’s fifth round of the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup race at Donington Park. Conditions had been fine in the untimed session, but rain came down in the afternoon timed session and Claudio was one of sixteen riders caught out in the wet.

The first qualifying session at Donington this afternoon was blighted by a rain shower at the beginning, but later on the track dried out and conditions improved. Team Suzuki Alstare Brux rider Yukio Kagayama took things steadily as he tried to find a good set-up for the different conditions. In the end, he finished 16th quickest, but is confident of significant improvement tomorrow.
