Motul

Today, Motul is lauded as one the world's foremost specialist in high-tech lubricants, but the company's roots date back to over 150 years.

Founded in New York in 1853 by the Rockefeller Group and operated as a subsidiary of New Jersey's Standard Oil, Motul started thus through another company called Swan Finch. Originally, Motul was dealing with whale oil used for oil lanterns. In 1919, Swan Finch bought Motul from Standard Oil and was renamed as the Swan Finch Company. Finch expanded to Europe and in 1932 was bought by the Zaugg Family, an importer and distributor of Swan Finch products. The Motul name was re-launched in the same year as a French brand. Given its American origins, Motul has always tried to keep an international dimension.

In fact, today, 70% of the company's turnover comes from abroad. Since its creation, Motul has always invested in research and development. In the world of Motorsports, Motul has developed partnerships with Nissan, Yamaha, Subaru, Honda and Suzuki.

As one of Team Suzuki Alstare's main partners, Motul supplies high-quality products that allow the team to take full advantage of their high-powered engines.
