Pietro Isnardi since 1908

As first of the family, Pietro Isnardi derived his passion and expertise for olive oil from an innate liaison with the land.

The first person to widely spread the nutritional and therapeutic properties of olive oil, Pietro Isnardi, has became the bearer of a new concept of health through diet, attributing to his oil the names "pure" and "oil to drink".

His wish to create communions and special links, led him to become the official supplier to the Royal Family in 1916, securing, as well as this, the authorization by King Vittorio Emanuele III to enrich the product with the House of Savoy coat of arms.

Pietro was the one to conceive the idea of enriching the olive oil with vitamins and calcium for therapeutic purposes. The oil was then enriched with a hormone to fight malnutrition: the product was ideal to supplement children’s diets and therefore became very popular throughout Italy.
In almost one century from its birth, four generations of oil producers have turned Isnardi into a brand of prestige known worldwide, thanks also to the numerous awards that have certified the company’s seriousness over the time.

The ongoing choice of relevant gourmets, dieticians and chefs solidly confirm the authenticity of the Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Nevertheless, the consumer’s loyalty remains amongst the most important unchanged credentials that made up Isnardi’s history.
