I think that Alstare Suzuki are the best team in the WSBK paddock. They have a great structure, good mechanics and very good support. For me, this is a great opportunity to ride a factory bike and I'm very happy for this chance. I think that the team and I can work together very well and I'm looking forward to starting the job.

I rode one of the Alstare Suzuki bikes in the last round of the 2007 championship and it was so much better than the bike I had been riding all season. The chassis, handling, brakes and everything else felt so good right from the start of the first practice and I felt at home straightaway. The whole team seemed very friendly and easy to work with, so I think we're going to have a great season in 2008.

It's hard to predict what will happen in 2008 and of course I'd like to be chasing for the title, but I would be happy to finish in the top five on my first year with the team.
