Crutchlow took Superpole today, with a blistering lap of 2:04.091 and with it, his fifth Superpole win of the season. Second was Jonathan Rea (Honda), with Michel Fabrizio (Ducati) third and Jakub Smrz (Aprilia) fourth. Leon’s team mate, Sylvain Guintoli, ended with the 11th quickest lap in Superpole and will start from the third row of the grid.

If I hadn’t have been held up on my quick lap in final Superpole, I think I would’ve been on the front row of the grid. I think it was Ruben Xaus in the way, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Fifth is not so bad because I am directly behind Cal on pole and, as long as I make two good starts, I feel I can be in contention tomorrow. I’m pretty happy with the bike set-up, but I’m always looking for improvements and we’ll just try a few tweaks in the warm-up tomorrow morning.I feel fairly well dialled in with the track now and much happier with the tyres than I was in the last round in Brno. My aim is to make two good starts and go all-out for a pair of wins or podiums. Hopefully Max will be somewhere behind - preferably with a few people between me and him!

It’s the same story in that this championship is so close and competitive that the tiniest of margins can make such big differences. It was such a small amount between me and Superpole 3 and a shame I couldn’t make it. But the good news is that I have a good feeling with the race tyres and I am much more happy with the bike's set-up today. We’ve made good progress since the first practice. I feel I’ve got good race rhythm so we’ll probably stick to what we’ve got now, or very close to it.In one of my Superpoles, I saw a yellow flag and maybe I was a bit too cautious and eased off a bit too much - just to be safe. That was because of Toseland’s crash, but perhaps I could’ve gone a bit quicker, even though the flag was out. I am ready for the big fight tomorrow and hoping to have some fun - especially as I have so many friends and family here.

Il pilota del Team Suzuki Alstare Leon Haslam ha mancato di poco un posto in prima fila nella Superpole di oggi, bloccato da un pilota più lento nel suo giro veloce. Così, domani, inizierà i diciotto giri della due gare partendo dalla seconda fila,appena dietro al poleman Cal Crutchlow (Yamaha). Crutchlow oggi ha conquistato la sua quinta Superpole della stagione con un tempo di 2:04.091. Secondo è Jonathan Rea (Honda), con Michel Fabrizio (Ducati) terzo e Jakub Smrz (Aprilia)quarto. Il compagno di squadra di Leon, Sylvain Guintoli, ha concluso 11° e partirà quindi dalla terza fila della griglia.

Se non fossi stato bloccato nel mio giro veloce nell'ultima Superpole, penso che sarei stato in prima fila. Penso che era Ruben Xaus in traiettoria, ma a volte va così. Quinto non è male perchè sono proprio dietro a Cal che è in pole ,quindi ,se farò due buone partenze, domani potrò essere in lizza per la vittoria. Sono abbastanza soddisfatto del set up della moto, ma sono sempre alla ricerca di miglioramenti e quindi proveremo qualche piccola modifica domani mattina nel warm-up.
Mi sento abbastanza bene sulla pista e sono molto più felice delle gomme di quanto non lo fossi stato nel round precedente di Brno. Il mio obiettivo è quello di fare due buone partenze e di dare il massimo per ottenere due vittorie o due podi. Spero che Max sarà da qualche parte dietro - preferibilmente con alcune persone tra lui e me !

E' sempre la stessa storia, questo campionato è così stretto e competitivo che il più piccolo dei margini può fare una grande differenza. C'era pochissimo scarto per entrare nella Superpole 3 e quindi è stato un peccato che non sono riuscito a farla. Ma la buona notizia è che ho un buon feeling con le gomme da gara e oggi sono molto più contento del set-up della moto. Abbiamo fatto buoni progressi dopo la prima sessione di prove. Sento che ho un buon ritmo di gara, probabilmente sarà più o meno questo.
In uno dei miei giri veloci ho visto una bandiera gialla e probabilmente sono stato troppo cauto e sono andato un po' largo per sicurezza. Era per la caduta di Toseland, quindi forse avrei potuto andare un po 'più veloce, anche con la bandiera esposta. Sono pronto per la grande battaglia di domani e spero di divertirmi un po '- tanto più che ci sono qui tanti amici e la mia famiglia.
