Misano

Located near Rimini, one of Europe's capitals of summer tourism, and close to Riccione - the hippest place on the Riviera Adriatica - Misano circuit is hosting a round of the Superbike World Championship in 2008 for the eighteenth consecutive year. The racetrack itself, a favourite among Superbike fans, was constructed in 1972 and is known to be one of the most demanding and exhausting on the calendar. This year, the return of the MotoGP Championship in Misano has forced circuit officials to make a few modifications to the track, and in accordance with MotoGP safety regulations, the 4,200m track will run clockwise for the World Championship races.
