The circuit of Nevers at Magny-Cours is located exactly halfway between Paris and Lyon. In 1959, what is today a world-class circuit hosting F1 and WSBK rounds, was only a karting track. The circuit, an interesting mix of slow turns and high-speed straights, is a modern and smooth racetrack with negligible changes in elevation. The numerous straights often followed by heavy braking areas offer spectators a wonderful show. The weather at Nevers can be extreme and changeable and the circuit tends to rapidly turn into a skating rink when rain falls.
