At Misano last weekend, Team Suzuki Alstare rider Fonsi Nieto was wearing a special edition helmet to support the Rock in Rio festival in Madrid.

Team Suzuki Alstare are proud to announce that young German Max Neukirchner will wear Alstare colours until December 31st, 2010.
After signing the letter of intent, as reported on May 14th, Max Neukirchner visited the Alstare headquarters this week to officially sign the contract with Team Alstare.

Team Suzuki Alstare rider Yukio Kagayama returned to Japan last weekend to take part in the Suzuka 300 km Endurance race - a prelude to the Suzuka 8 hour race in July.

On the day before the first day of qualifying in the sixth round of the Superbike World Championship at Utah, Team Alstare Suzuki rider Max Neukirchner met the state’s Governor Jon Huntsman.

Alstare is sensitive to the environmental problems caused by the continuing consumption of fossil fuels affecting the earth's climate control. It is inevitable and urgent now for the world to reduce CO2 carbon emissions in the atmosphere and to replace the consumption of polluting energies with clean and renewable sources.

Team Alstare Suzuki had the honour and the pleasure of being guest of Globasol of the special event held in Boca Chica (Santo Domingo) last Friday April 11th when Globasol presented their project for the production of 60.000 tons per year of bio-diesel starting from 2009.

At the end of last season Team Alstare Suzuki and Corona Extra parted company after a highly successful ten year partnership. The loss of such a high-quality sponsor hit the team hard, but they set about finding a new sponsor as soon as the news came out.

At this time of year, with no races or tests going on, it would be easy to think that all is quiet at Team Alstare headquarters.

At the recent Phillip Island tests, Team Alstare Suzuki were trying out a GPS system on their bikes. With a well set-up GPS system, it is possible to ‘see’ the actual lines used by a racer and then try and use the information to improve on the lap.

With the New Year in mind, it's time to look back at Alstare and Suzuki's 2007 season. Although Alstare Suzuki didn't win any titles, it wasn't for lack of trying !

It's Christmas and the team have a few days off to go home and spend time with their families and friends.
