Brno
Brno's history is closely linked to motor racing and this connection with world-class sport gives the town of Brno a special position in the realm of motor sport. Though the current track was completed in 1985, just north of the town, Brno has seen motorcycle racing action for over seventy years. The track changes elevation often as it sweeps across the hillsides and includes fast undulating corners, which test rider skill, their motorcycle’s engineering and their ability to cope under pressure. Today, many riders love the track because of its fast corners and long straights that allow bikes to fly at over 300 kilometres per hour. Because of the numerous twists and turns, overtaking is commonplace, and the lead can change hands several times during a lap.
